Therapy for understanding yourself, changing patterns, and creating a life that feels more like your own.
My training is rooted in social justice, psychodynamic, and narrative theories. I am particularly influenced by socio-cultural models that consider how our relationships, communities, identities, and broader systems shape the ways we understand ourselves and move through the world.
My work is primarily informed by Relational Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, and Neurodiversity-Affirming approaches.
Together, we might explore:
-
Anxiety, depression, and difficult emotions
-
ADHD, Autism, and other forms of neurodivergence
-
Executive functioning, stress, and burnout
-
Identity development and self-understanding
-
Gender identity and gender-affirming care
-
Self-esteem and confidence
-
Relationships, communication, and recurring patterns
-
Major life transitions and difficult decisions
-
Grief, loss, and difficult experiences
-
Trauma and the effects of past experiences
-
Work, school, and other life pressures
-
Finding ways to live more authentically and in alignment with your values
I do not believe that a particular diagnosis, symptom, or problem tells the whole story of who you are. Therapy can be a space to understand what you are experiencing while also considering the relationships, environments, expectations, and larger systems that shape your life.
My goal is not to provide a one-size-fits-all solution. Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of what is happening and explore meaningful changes that are specific to you and your experiences.
My Approach
In session we will work collaboratively to understand you as a whole person, including your strengths, relationships, identity, history, environment, and the systems you move through. Individual therapy can be a space to slow down, understand what you're experiencing, and explore the patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape your life. You may know exactly what you want help with, or you may simply know that something feels difficult, overwhelming, or no longer sustainable.
I feel most influenced by socio-cultural models and the works of bell hooks, Stephen A. Mitchell, Carl Rogers, Paulo Freire, Murray Bowen, Jessica Benjamin, and Sue Johnson. My work is primarily informed by Relational Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered, Narrative, IFS, Attachment Theory, and Neurodiversity-Affirming approaches.
These perspectives share an interest in understanding people within the context of their relationships and experiences rather than reducing them to a diagnosis, symptom, or isolated problem. I believe therapy should be collaborative and grounded in genuine curiosity about your experience.
Individual therapy (53 minutes) - $175
